Hazel Hampleman

Hazel (Cook) Hampleman, 99 of Bartow, FL. formerly of Perry County, passed away at 11:05 A.M., Wednesday, August 7, 2002 at the Rohr Nursing Home in Bartow, FL.
Hazel was a homemaker and was co-owner and operator with her daughter Frances of Fran's Alterations in Lakeland, FL for many years. She was a member of the Paradise Baptist Church at Tamaroa. For the past 20 years she lived in Bartow, FL and she was an active member of Wildwood Baptist Church.
She was born January 8, 1903 at Tamaroa, IL the daughter of Charley and Elsie (Turner) Cook.
She married Rev. Glenn Hampleman on September 15, 1921 at Pinckneyville and he preceded her in death.
She is survived by two daughters- Viva Smith of Lakeland, FL, Virginia Woosley of Bartow, FL, son- Carroll Hampleman and wife Gerry of Lakeland, FL, daughter-in-law- Laverne Hampleman of Du Quoin, thirteen grandchildren, twenty five great grandchildren and nineteen great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Rev. Glenn Hampleman, son- Herman Hampleman, daughter- Frances Eckert, grandson, great grandson, four brothers and five sisters.
Funeral services were at 10:00 A.M., Monday, August 12, 2002 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Bob Dickerson officiating.
Friends called from 9 to 10 A.M., Monday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Interment was in the Paradise Cemetery at Tamaroa.
